Tanduo declared clean, 97 militants captured in Ops Daulat

As of Monday the Police and Military have declared that kg Tanduo is free of the Sulu gunmen. Malaysian troops are hunting down the rest of the remaining Suluk terrorist in the Tanjung Batu and Sungai Bilis areas.

Last Sunday, a suluk terrorist was shot dead in Kampung Tanjung Batu during a raid. The total number of militant intruders killed increased to 54. Meanwhile some the gunmen are believed to have ditch or burried their weapons and change clothes in order to by past the tight security cordon. All of their attempt failed.

Ninety-seven people were detained for suspected involvement with the gunmen, and also held 122 people for being in the prohibited zone of Ops Daulat.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib confirmed that 22 of the dead terrorists bodies were sent to the hospital for post-mortem.

Swift death. The terrorist fight to the last man. Rarely they surrendered unless they were cought unarmed, having to ditch their weapon due to lack of ammo.

A gunman was shot in Kampung Tajung Batu on Sunday after two policemen were injured during sporadic shooting, bringing the death toll among the Sulu intruders to 54.

This brings the number of injured personnel to five.

Comm Hamza also said six more people have been detained for suspected links to the terrorists, bringing the total to 97 detained under Second 130(C) of the Security Offences and Special Measures Act 2012.

Another 125 people have also been detained for trying to enter areas where operations were being conducted.
